I am a Postdoctoral Humanities Teaching Fellow in the Department of Philosophy and in the College at the University of Chicago. I hold a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Chicago and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
I work primarily in moral philosophy, moral psychology and animal ethics. My research centers on the philosophy of love and relationships, and especially on human-animal relationships. Much of my research is inspired by my relationship with my dog, Gracie. I have further interests in social and political philosophy, especially the philosophy of labor and feminist philosophy, and medical ethics. I enjoy walking in the woods, camping, and being around animals (except spiders). I also like drinking tea, watching TV, and listening to music. I live in Chicago with my husband and our dog. I am originally from Hull, England. |
